2010 has been designated as our year of evangelism with the theme: “Compelled To Tell” being our guideline. Accordingly, our Sunday morning messages will have a very distinct evangelistic flavor.
In March, we are looking at Encounters With Jesus and seeing how the Lord gave the Good News to those He encountered during His ministry.
April and May will find us in the book of Acts watching as Peter, Paul, Timothy, Phillip, Barnabas, Silas and others preached and witnessed to the various cultural groups (Jewish, African, European) they ministered to. It is one thing to watch an event from the sidelines; it is quite another thing to be in on the action!
As we watch Biblical events unfolding in our sermons, let us continually remember that people without Jesus’ forgiveness are lost. The torch has been passed to us and we must do as the early evangelists did and help spread the Gospel message.
Whatever you do, do not be ‘stingy’ with what is going on at FCC. We offer good Bible studies, benevolence to our community, wonderful times of worship, youth activities for all ages, small groups, recreation, etc. Let’s make certain that we are continually reaching out in the name of Christ and not being selfish with what we have at this wonderful church.
I sincerely hope that you will be in worship on Sundays---and that you will not come alone but be faithful in inviting those brought across your path by God’s providence to worship with you.
