Interfaith Hospitality Network
For several years, our church has partnered with Interfaith Hospitality Network, a local organization which houses and ministers to those without homes. We look forward to hosting these families several times each year here at our church campus.

School Sponsor
In addition, we are the sponsor church for a local elementary school. We host their graduation and Christmas programs, as well as provide clothing, food, school supplies and support for their staff. Prayer Chain & Prayer Ministry
We believe in the power of prayer. When someone would like to share a request for prayer or gratitude for answered prayer, we share it with those who are “on call.” Also, each Sunday morning, a group meets at 9 a.m. to pray for our church. All are welcomed to share in this ministry. Ruth Boyd (prayer chain) and Beth Holzbauer (Sunday prayer time) are the contact women and can be reached by emailing firstchurch@fccxenia.org.
Funeral Dinners
Losing a loved one is a difficult time. As a church family, we like to reach out and show our love to those in our church who are enduring such a time. Stacy Newell is recruiting those who would be prepared to make a dish or dessert when necessary. You can reach her by emailing the church office at firstchurch@fccxenia.org.
Visitation
Each week we learn of those who are suffering in the hospital, at home or local nursing care facilities. Spending quality time with these precious people is important. If you would like to visit or go along with one of our staff, please contact Tommy Denney at tdenney@fccxenia.org, and he will welcome you to join in this ministry.
Faith in Action
Many of us are concerned about our country’s economical and social situation, and feel alone in our ability to do anything to change this situation. This ministry is designed to empower each of us, as American citizens, to speak up and share our concerns with our nation’s leaders. Love in Action
All of us have been touched at one time or another by a simple card of encouragement. Take a moment and share your concern for others through this simple ministry of writing and sending cards and letters to others. This group meets weekly to be a source of loving thoughts and prayers.
