Small Groups

We believe small groups are the place where life-change happens as we seek to live life together.  A small group is a group of people (3-12) that meet at least twice per month with an identified leader and have a defined purpose and seek to build community.  Small Groups fall in one of the following areas - Serve Teams or Cell Groups.  Serve Teams engage in ministry tasks and fulfillment, while Cell Groups are created more towards bible study, fellowship and nurture.  Within these groups there is safety, fellowship, study, care, authentic relationships and often times FOOD.  The value of community means that no one will live life alone and there is always a place for you to belong.

The mission of small groups is for every person within FCC to experience community through group life and extend that life to all we encounter.  We want people to come as they are and find acceptance and a freshness to life.

The goals of small groups are:  1.  Life-change:  To become more like Christ (a fully devoted follower), to live in the reality of loving God and loving others daily.   2.  Multiply Ministry:  Healthy groups will experience growth as they extend community to others and will birth new groups as a natural part of their life-cycle.

Jesus is our best example of building ministry through small groups.  Jesus chose the 12 disciples to live life together.  The learned, loved, laughed, cried, cared and found a community like no other.  Shouldn’t we do the same?

At FCC we have many types of groups with a wide range of interests.  To see a listing of groups and to get involved, go to Getting Connected.
