Group Studies Connected Community Small Groups Leadership FAQs

FAQs

What is a small group?  A small group is a group of people (3-12) that meet at least twice per month with an identified leader and have a defined purpose and seek to build community.  Groups include cell groups, special interest groups (golf, scrap booking), serving groups/teams, women’s groups, men’s groups, support groups, etc.  For a complete listing, go to Getting Connected.

Why is being in a group important?  Small Groups are the foundation for ministry, care, support, service, study, relationships, and not living alone.  As a church grows, it must become smaller.  You need connected to a small group of people for your continued growth in faith and can encourage others to do the same.

Where do these groups meet?  Groups meet anywhere from homes, to restaurants, to the church, and other locations.

How can I get involved in a group?  Go to Getting Connected and fill out the form and submit online or turn in to the church information desk.  You can also pick up a form at the information desk before or after worship services.

Do I have to be a member of the church to be in a group?  No.  We encourage everyone to get connected to a group and community right away.  Don’t wait.  Go to Getting Connected
