Frequently Asked Questions

1. How large of a church is FCC?
  • Combined the Sunday worship services currently average around 500 which includes the preschool and children's services that run simultaneously.
2. What are the lengths of your worship services?
  • Our Bible Fellowship Classes last from 9:00 - 10:15 AM.
  • The worship service starts at 10:30 AM and runs an hour and 30 minutes on an average.
3. How should we dress when we attend a service at FCC?
  • Style of dress ranges all the way from extremely casual (jeans and shorts) to suits and ties for men and semi-formal dresses for ladies. Ladies will not feel uncomfortable in our services in slacks.
4. What programs do you have for my children?
  • FCC has a fully graded program for all ages. During Sunday morning worship services, there are classes/worship experiences for children, Nursery through grade 6. We also offer periodic teen worship services. Check out the Children and Youth pages for complete descriptions.
5. Will I be notified if I leave my preschool child in the nursery and he/she needs me?
  • Absolutely! Our guests and members alike receive a number. That number will appear on our rear projection screens in the Worship center if you are needed to care for your child.
6. What kind of security is provided to ensure that my child will be safe while in your care?
  • All our preschool teachers and workers are screened and carefully selected. These workers also always work in multiples of two or more. The same parent or guardian that left the child in our care must receive the child. We also have a stand-by nurse available every Sunday should first-aid treatment be needed. Of course, the parent will be notified first in the event of any treatment with the exception of treatment that would be needed immediately.
7. How are your facilities handicapped accessible?
  • There are handicapped parking spaces on both sides of the building and entrances into the new section as well as the Kid City area. A handicap ramp connects the new facility with the Kid City area. Restrooms in the new facility meet all handicapped standards.
8. Are any of your services interpreted for the deaf?
  • We have qualified deaf interpreters that can provide signing for any worship service or Bible Fellowship class.
9. Can I get involved in some of your ministry areas without being a member?
  • Membership is required for some ministry areas, especially teaching areas. Other service ministries can use non-members. However, all areas where children or youth are concerned will require some background checks and an interview.
10. How does one become a member of your church?
  • Believers who have already previously been immersed (water baptism by immersion) can transfer membership through a statement or public decision. Others who are immersed are automatically recognized as members unless they choose otherwise.
